LOL Worlds, or the League of Legends World Championship, is the annual professional League of Legends world championship tournament hosted by Riot Games and is the culmination of each season. Teams compete for the champion title, the 70-pound (32-kilogram) Summoner's Cup, and a multi-million-dollar championship prize.

The 2023 World Championship will be held from October 10 to November 19, 2023, with the event taking place in three venues in Seoul and another venue in Busan, South Korea. This tournament will see the debut of the Swiss-system tournament format in competitive League of Legends.

22 teams are invited to the tournament, including 4 from Korea, 4 from China, 3 from EMEA, 3 from North America, 2 from PCS, 2 from Vietnam, 1 from Japan, 1 from Brazil, 1 from Latin America, and 1 from the Worlds Qualifying Series.

The tournament will be played in four stages:

Play-In Stage: The bottom 12 teams will compete in a best-of-three double-elimination bracket to advance to the Group Stage.

Group Stage: The 12 teams from the Play-In Stage will join the top 10 teams from the regional leagues to form four groups of six teams. Each team will play a single round robin against the other teams in their group. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Knockout Stage.

Knockout Stage: The eight teams from the Group Stage will compete in a single-elimination bracket, with all matches played as best-of-five series. The winner of the Knockout Stage will be crowned the World Champion.

The 2023 World Championship is expected to be one of the most competitive tournaments in League of Legends history, with teams from all over the world vying for the Summoner's Cup.
